I've been photographing this little lady every few months for first year of her life. It has been great -- I walk next door and get my baby fix and photograph the best smiles. Happy first year Reese! It has been fun watching you grow! And I think Reese may go down in the books as the most agreeable baby I've ever photographed! No meltdowns in four sessions? Awesome.

In my last post I promised "beach photos coming soon". I meant from my trip to Mexico but alas those are on hold as I have some newer! more exciting! photos to post from a session with a very special one year old and his sister this week. I am trying something new on this post. I'm adding a music button so you can listen to music while you look at the photos. Trying this feature out on this particular family's photos makes a lot of sense too because this little guy's dad is a very talented musician. In fact, that is how I first met the Dad -- back in the days before diapers when he could still tour!
This was a fun session. I will either be popular with the neighbor kids (I used a pack of Skittles I found in my camera bag to bribe during this session) or they will hate me... when they are old enough to care about their cute little baby butt shots being taken by me. I'd better stock up on the skittles I guess.
My camera was starting to rust this January so these photos make me really happy -- especially because there is a lot of love for this family. (And look at their cute new beach house! Love!)
My most recent posts make Seattle family photo sessions look nice and sunny. False advertising for my future photo sessions, I'm certain. These photos are from a recent session from Lincoln Park. The family loves to visit the park and sit under this tree. They thought photos under the tree would have special meaning to them. I love that! And the kids are sure adorable.
I had so much fun with this family at the Olympic Sculpture Park. Britt and I met years and years ago working on a project where I was the designer and she the writer. Fast forward to present day I needed some copy for my up and coming new photography website and she was the first (and really only) person who came to mind. (Don't look around for better copy just yet as I have yet to launch my new site. Current crappy text is no reflection of her work!) I love that we were able to connect again years later for new projects. Had it not been for the beautiful girl in the photos, I could have sworn not a day had passed since we last spoke. I love friends like that! I hope you enjoy your photos, Britt, Brian and Ava!
It was this time last year that I dipped my toe in the waters of portrait photographer for hire. My first clients had just hired me and I was really, really nervous. Fast forward to 2010 and they hired me AGAIN! I wasn't AS nervous... although I am nervous before every session (which I consider a good sign.) I am feeling really honored and flattered for being called back for another year of family photos for such a great family. Thank you "O Family" for taking a chance on me! What a great year it has been.
