Holiday Beach Photo Session

These two little guys are my nephews. I LOVE photographing them. They are so full of life and 100% boy that it just makes everything fun. Plus it doesn't hurt that they are so darn cute. (No, I would never be biased!)

Reminder if you are a client and still wanting to order for the holidays that Friday, December 7th is your last day to order in time to get the prints back for the holidays. Prints make wonderful gifts!

The old west, not so well preserved

The summer is over. The kids are back in school. Time to get back at it! I'm posting a few of my favorite photos from our epic road trip from Seattle to Mt. Rushmore this summer. Sadly these photos have gone missing on my harddrive and these are screen shots from Light Room where they once happily resided! I was sick to the point of letting the F bomb fly from my mouth like the rain in Seattle, which if you live here you'll understand it is A LOT. (Clients, do not worry, your files are much safer.) I am really not sure how this happened but I am blaming myself. I was busy moving files around and trying to re-coup some space on my hard drive after our vacation when I must have seriously messed some things up. I back up my hard drive with Time Machine but it doesn't back up my external drive. Time for me to investigate the cloud for some storage. Much safer than anything in my hands.

My pity party is over. I'm moving on with my life but I will always lament "the photos that got away."

Planning a pajama party

Someone was so happy to have her mom suggest, "Why don't you jump on the bed?" Because unless it was for a photo shoot, those words would never come out of my mouth. Anything for a photo opp.

A soon to be six year old is having a party tonight. She's been carefully planning all the details of her party for the last six months. It is quite impressive. Unfortunately the "host" (me) has come down with a summer cold and I feel TERRIBLE. Not to mention all the fluids leaking from my face make me LOOK terrible too. The party isn't until after dinner but so far I've taken sudafed, Emergence C, breakfast tea and some crazy, wild coffee my husband brewed up for me. I hope I can maintain this shaky buzz the rest of the day. It's okay for a mom to look like a meth head at her daughter's party, right? Probably even expected.

This photo cracks me up. It wasn't planned to cut off her head.

Ah, that was fun.
