[caption id="attachment_284" align="aligncenter" width="587" caption="Anticipation of Zero to Baby"][/caption] My dear friends Kellianne and Buster are moments, or hours, or days (?) away from becoming new parents. Kellianne's water broke last night but no baby yet, and hardly any labor. Uh oh. So different than my water breaking back in 2004. Britta was zipped out of my womb via surgical hands within a few hours. In 2001 my water never even broke when my son Karsten was delivered (again through c-section.) I'm really clueless when it comes to all natural, home births.
I've been helping document Kellianne and Buster's entire pregnancy with photos and avidly following their online journal so this birth experience is exceptionally close to me. I'm sending baby Niko my prayers and good energy for smooth sailing into this world. I can't wait to meet him! AND photograph him!
Oh, and I should mention these photos. They were at the Pike Place Market taken at 38 weeks (three weeks ago), on a beautiful, sunny but cold day. It was fun to photograph such gorgeous and stylish parents-to-be in one of my favorite Seattle locations (including the scary gum wall.)
